Who is Ginger 1?

I am 27 years old and am living my dream everyday! I was raised in Centennial, Colorado and growing up I played every sport that you can imagine. I have always enjoyed being outdoors and testing my limits mentally and physically. Before I got involved with cycling, I wanted to make it big playing soccer. Once I realized that soccer wasn’t for me, I discovered cycling. I had a couple of friends who raced on a junior cycling team and thought it was be awesome to race and travel every weekend. I only started cycling my senior year of high school, and given this late start, I had a lot to learn. As I began racing, I loved every minute of it. I was dedicated and knew my goal was to strive to be the best. I dreamed of becoming a professional, and would do everything I could to make this a reality.

The first step in this journey was joining the collegiate team at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. My first year I raced mountain and road bikes, and quickly learned that I was racing with guys who were a lot more experienced. I started training right and gave cycling everything I had. While at Mesa State, we won the Team Time Trial National Championships two years in a row! I graduated with a Sports Management degree and shortly after signed a professional contract. I am now racing full time with Champion System Stan’s No Tubes Pro Cycling Team. When not traveling, I currently live in Boulder, Colorado and I am loving every minute of it. Everyday I get to wake up and live my dream, and that is what I want to help others do.
