I can't even explain to you how nice it is to be home and sleep in my own bed and actually getting some real training in. Being on the road for so long and racing every single weekend for 3 months it's hard to train hard and race hard at the same time. Usually during the week leading up to a race you dont wont to come into the weekend tired.
Since I have been home I have gone on a couple 5 hr rides with a lot of climbing, something I have not done since Tucson. It kicked me in the butt of course but at the same time it felt so good.
I got to be here for my dads Birthday and Father's day, a lot of BBQ in the back yard with family and friends is just what I needed.
I am sitting here in my living room just finished packing up my bike into my small Gavi BFF bag because I am on the road again tomorrow. This trip is only 5 days not 5 months. I am going to race 4 days of Tour of America's Dairyland, 11 days of crits. I have never raced this before and I am super excited to see what all the hype is about. I am mentally rested now and the legs are feeling good after getting no oxygen for the last 9 days.
